Professional Logger Credits

OLC celebrates the return of the Equipment Expo!

EUGENE, Ore. – The 2008 Oregon Logging Conference (OLC) schedule is packed with educational opportunities, allowing attendees to earn up to nine professional logger credits in just two days. The 70th annual conference, scheduled Feb. 21 to 23 at the Lane County Convention Center and  Fairgrounds and Eugene Hilton Conference Center in Eugene, is expected to draw hundreds of forestry professionals from across North America.

“We have a great selection of educational and hands-on training seminars for loggers this year to help them stay up on the latest advances in safety and technology,” says Blair Moody, 2008 OLC president.

The conference theme, “A Seventy Year Tradition – Forestry, Equipment, Education,” is highlighted at classes and seminars on exciting topics, such as cutting-edge equipment and tire maintenance and management.

“This year, conference attendees will be pleased to learn that we’re celebrating the full return of the legendary indoor and outdoor Equipment Expo, which offers a chance for attendees to see the massive machinery up close,” says Rikki Wellman, conference manager for the Oregon Logging Conference.

Online registration for the conference is available at the OLC Web site, www.oregonloggingconference.com. For more information, call (541) 686-9191.
