For more information, contact 69th Annual Oregon Logging Conference Keynote Speaker Announced Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Lars Larson to address conference members Eugene, Ore. – Lars Larson, host of Oregon’s nationally syndicated radio talk show, The Lars Larson Show, will deliver the keynote address, “Oregon’s Opportunities Begin in the Woods,” at the 2007 Oregon Logging Conference (OLC). Larson will address the opening session on Thursday, Feb. 22, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Wheeler Pavilion at the Lane Events Center in Eugene, Ore. During the keynote address, Larson will talk about his days as the child of a national forest ranger, growing up in Tillamook surrounded by state and federal forest land, and now covering government which refuses to cut those forests and generate jobs and taxes. An Emmy and Peabody Award winner, Larson brings more than 30 years of experience as a radio and television journalist to The Lars Larson Show. The show airs on 17 stations in the Pacific Northwest and has the biggest local talk radio audience in the region. Larson began his radio career as a teenager, spinning records and reading news, sports, and weather on KTIL in Tillamook, Ore. Along the way, he has worked for more than a dozen radio stations and three television stations. He has received more than 70 awards for his reporting and documentaries. He has appeared on “The O’Reilly Factor,” “Scarborough Country,” “Fox and Friends,” and countless local radio shows around the country. The 69th annual Oregon Logging Conference will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, through Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Lane Events Center and the Eugene Hilton in Eugene, Ore.
