Pivot wear is a common problem in all machinery and equipment. Over time, the wear accelerates and the lug holes become oval. This diminishes the efficiency and stability of the machine. Conventional repairs are complicated, expensive and time consuming, yet only temporary – wear will occur again.
The Expander System solves the problem - once and for all. The Expander System’s sleeves expand and lock into the worn pivot lugs. When the fasteners are tightened, the pressure washers press the slotted sleeves down over the tapered ends of the pin axle. Double-sided locking increases stability and safety. The sleeves expand parallel to the pin axle and lock the System in the pivot lugs. Wear is permanently eliminated. Standard sleeves expand up to 80 thousandths of an inch and oversize sleeves expand up to 160 thousandths.
