'CHAIN SAW ARTS AND SCIENCE'
Cary Shepherd, National Training Specialist for Husqvarna will present a one hour seminar titled 'Chain Saw Arts and Science'. This seminar will feature a hands on look at the 'art and science' of modern chain saw design, and how it enhances skill, safety and productivity.
Cary is National Chain Saw Applications Instructor for Husqvarna. He has over thirty-five years of industry experience with 20 years of direct experience in presenting chain saw safety & application training programs to groups across the United States including: Smoky Mountains National Park, Virginia DOT, University of Florida, Boonville N.Y. Logging Show, Ohio Forestry Assoc., The Davey Tree Expert Company, West Virginia Logger Certification, International Society of Arboriculture, Massachusetts Dept. Conservation & Recreation, Lucas Tree Experts, Cal Poly Technical University, and Oregon Cutting Systems.
He has 4 years experience as an Instructor with Forest Applications Training, Inc. and is a Certified Trainer with the International Society for Performance Improvement. He has a Husqvarna Qualified Sawyer Instructor Rating and his classes qualify for CEU’s with ISA, International Society of Arboriculture. Cary is a voting member of the ANSI approved Accredited Standards Committee Z133 for Arboriculture Operations and is the Chairman of the Chain Saw Task Group.
