THIRD ANNUAL LOG LOADER COMPETITION

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22 AND 23, 2013

Is your log loader operator the BEST in the WEST? Sign them up and let’s see them compete head to head at OLC’s Second Annual Log Loader competition.

The competition will be sponsored in part by Triad Machinery and Link-Belt Forestry Equipment. This event will be held on Friday beginning at 12pm until 4pm and on Saturday beginning at 9am - 1pm (times may change). The event will be held in the outside display area at the Lane County Fairgrounds, Eugene, Oregon. The Log Loader used for the event will be a Link-Belt log loader with SAE and ISO control pattern.

To enter this event you must be a qualified log loader operator to compete. Competitor must be employed or be an owner of an established logging company. There is No Entry Fee for this event. Only requirement is the sponsoring company must have competitor fully registered for the 2013 Oregon Logging Conference (OLC).

The company sponsoring the competitor must complete an official form for each person they are entering in the competition. All applications must be received at the OLC Office by 5:00 PM, FEBRUARY 10, 2013. Applications can be faxed to OLC 541-686-0176 or mailed to: Oregon Logging Conference, P.O. Box 10669, Eugene OR 97440 

Entry forms will be reviewed by a committee of OLC Directors and Staff to choose qualified competitors. There will be a maximum of 36 competitors allowed for this event. All qualifying applicants names will be drawn for a time to compete Event Time will be 12pm-3:00pm on Friday, February 22 and from 10am-12pm on Saturday, February 23. Qualifying Applicants will be notified prior to the conference and given the Event Schedule. The Event Schedule will be posted at the conference

Cash Contest Prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors, based on shortest times including all penalties.

LOG LOADER EVENT RESULTS

The BEST in the WEST competed at the OLC Annual Log Loader event on Thursday and Friday during the Oregon Logging Conference in Eugene, Oregon at the Lane County Fairgrounds. Competitors from Oregon, Washington and Idaho competed in the event in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

The competition was sponsored in part by Triad Machinery and Link-Belt, competitors operated a new Link-Belt Log Loader during the event.
