OLC Overview

Since 1939, the Oregon Logging Conference has stayed true to its founding principle of assisting forestry professionals in their pursuit of professional development. Here are some ways OLC continues to work to advance the forestry industry.

Conference Seminars and Panel Discussions

Each year, OLC hosts informative educational seminars and panel discussions on forestry-related topics. These educational opportunities are invaluable to forestry professionals, who earn professional logger credits while networking and exchanging ideas with their peers.

Educational Opportunities

In addition to providing educational exhibits aimed at explaining the problems and conditions of forestry related industries, OLC has donated more than $275,000 to public education programs. OLC also supports the Oregon Women in Timber’s free educational program, Talk About Trees. The free program presents science-based curriculum to kindergarten through sixth grade classes.

Scholarships

Established in 1968, the OLC scholarship fund annually awards scholarships to qualified students majoring in forestry-related fields. Last year, OLC awarded 8 scholarships, totaling $7,500. Call the OLC office for more details 541-686-9191 or email: kelly@oregonloggingconference.com
