Update on Weight and Tie Down Regulations

The Update on Weight and Tie Down Regulations seminar will demonstrate the new regulation & laws on how to secure and tie down your load before transporting.

This seminar will be presented by Ken Norwood, Compliance Specialist II and Susan Combs, Compliance Specialist II, both are with ODOT / MCTD Safety Enforcement in Springfield, Oregon.

Ken Norwood has served the citizens of Oregon for 16 years. He began his State Government career after retiring from the United States Marine Corps. Ken’s first job was with the Oregon Public Utility Commission as a mail room clerk. He subsequently worked several years as a Registration Analyst. In January of 1996, Ken accepted his current position with the Safety Enforcement unit of the Motor Carrier Transportation Division.

Susan Combs

Susan Combs has 23 years of service with the Oregon Department of Transportation. In 1984, she began her career as an Auto Service Worker with Fleet Management in Salem, OR. Susan then accepted a position as a Motor Carrier Enforcement Officer serving in Ashland, OR from 1986 until September 1989. In 1998, she was promoted to her current position as a Compliance Specialist with the Motor Carrier Safety Enforcement unit. Susan has served in the Eugene/Springfield region since May 2001.
