Roadside Inspections, Logbook vs. Time Card and Driver Qualification Records

The Roadside Inspection Procedures, Logbook vs. Time Card and Driver Qualification Office Record Keeping seminar will take place on Friday, February 26, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. This seminar will cover the importance of keeping an accurate record book in the vehicle as well as in the office. Updates on new regulations will also be covered.
Sue and Ken will cover inspection procedures and proper record keeping for driver qualification, time keeping requirements.
This seminar will be presented at General Trailers outside display Tent on Friday of the conference. ODOT will also have an inside display booth during the conference this will give you an opportunity to discuss other concerns and questions you may have.
There will be opportunity for audience participation. Sue and Ken have the ability to adjust the seminar to suit those who are attending.

Ken Norwood has served the citizens of Oregon for 16 years. He began his State Government career after retiring from the United States Marine Corps. Ken's first job was with the Oregon Public Utility Commission as a mail room clerk. He subsequently worked several years as a Registration Analyst. In January of 1996, Ken accepted his current position with the Safety Enforcement unit of the Motor Carrier Transportation Division.

Susan Combs has 23 years of service with the Oregon Department of Transportation. In 1984, she began her career as an Auto Service Worker with Fleet Management in Salem, OR. Susan then accepted a position as a Motor Carrier Enforcement Officer serving in Ashland, OR from 1986 until September 1989. In 1998, she was promoted to her current position as a Compliance Specialist with the Motor Carrier Safety Enforcement unit. Susan has served in the Eugene/Springfield region since May 2001.
