2010 Oregon Logging Conference Schedule Announced,
"Forest Biomass...Fuel of the Future?" is this year's theme

Skilled log loader operators sought for the conference's first annual log loader operator competition

Eugene, Ore.  -  Towering heavy equipment and forestry professionals from across the world will once again return to the Lane Events Center in Eugene, Ore., on Feb. 25 through 27, for the 72nd Oregon Logging Conference.  The conference, renown for its high-quality educational opportunities and networking events, is a great value to participants who have the opportunity to earn nine professional logger credits and eight SAF-CFE credits, view the logging, construction, trucking and heavy equipment and enjoy several networking opportunities over three days for just $85.

This year's theme, "Forest Biomass...Fuel of the Future?," will be discussed at conference educational seminars and during the keynote address given by Nate Clark, director of public affairs for John Deere's Construction and Forestry Division and John Deere Power Systems.

New to the conference this year is the first annual log loader operator competition.  The event will put skilled log loader operators against each other in an exciting timed competition.  The top three competitors over the two days of competition will receive prize money.

"This year's conference is packed with unique opportunities for forestry professionals to increase their knowledge, kick some tires and see some of the latest technology and equipment on the market," says Ed Hendrix, 2010 Oregon Logging Conference president.  "We understand that many in our industry are currently facing difficult economic challenges and have responded to those realities by ensuring that our attendees receive the greatest value for their registration fee, offering outstanding educational networking opportunities and the largest heavy equipment expo west of the Mississippi River."

Also new this year to the conference, all indoor exhibitors will be under one roof in the Convention Center, making it easier for attendees to see all of the displays in one location and more convenient for attending educational seminars and food vendors.  In addition, the Sawdust Bowl will be located in the Convention Center lobby.  This popular networking event includes hosted beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

To register for the conference or to view more information, visit the Oregon Logging Conference Web site, www.oregonloggingconference.com, or call (514) 686-9191.
