This Hands On Seminar will cover the safety and regulation inspections for Fire Trucks and Fire Safety.

Mike Jackson from Douglas Forest Protective Association will present the seminar.

Mike graduated from Roseburg High School in 1983. After graduation he attended Umpqua Community College where he received an Associate Degree. In 1989 he received his Bachelors Degree in Forest Engineering at Oregon State University.

Mike started working for the Douglas Forest Protective Association in 1985. He worked as Forest Officer until 2001 and current serves as Industrial Forest Officer. His current duties include;

    * Coordination of the Industrial Fire Prevention program in the Douglas District (industrial fire inspections and waivers)
    * Smoke Management (involves registration, planning and approval for slash burning activities.
    * Training for Industrial Landowners & Operators.
