Forestry Education Classes Offered at 2010 Oregon Logging Conference

 

EUGENE, Ore.    Hundreds of forestry professionals will gather at the 2010 Oregon Logging Conference to be educated on the latest industry news and standards for safely and effectively harvesting timber.  The conference, scheduled Feb. 25 through Feb. 27, at the Lane Events Center in Eugene, Ore., offers a great value to attendees who will attend educational seminars and earn nine professional logger credits and eight SAF-CFE credits over three days for just $85.

 

“Conference attendees have the opportunity to learn about a variety of timely and critical issues to the forestry industry, from stream restoration and fire prevention techniques to the latest news on forest biomass and green building trends,” says Ed Hendrix, 2010 Oregon Logging Conference president.  “We’re thrilled to offer such high-quality educational seminars from outstanding instructors.”   

 

This year’s theme, “Forest Biomass…Fuel of the Future?,” will be the subject of  the conference’s keynote address given by Nate Clark, director of public affairs for John Deere’s Construction and Forestry Division and John Deere Power System, and of an educational seminar following the keynote address on Thursday, Feb. 25.
